Regional Diets Targeting Gut Microbial Dynamics to Support Prolonged Healthspan

چکیده

In the last 150 years, we have seen a significant increase in average life expectancy, associated with shift from infectious to non-communicable diseases. The rising incidence of these diseases, for which age is often largest risk factor, highlights need contemporary societies improve healthy ageing their growing silver generations. As an inevitable, non-reversing and highly individualised process, better understand how non-genetic factors like diet choices commensal gut microbes can modulate biology ageing. this review, discuss geographical ethnic variations influence habitual dietary patterns, nutrient structure, microbial profiles potential impact on human healthspan. Several genera been elderly populations but are variable across populations. It seems unlikely that universal pro-longevity microbiome exists. Rather, optimal appears be conditional functionality acting regional- ethnicity-specific trends driven by cultural food context. We also highlight observed elicit individual clustered biological responses. Finally, identify next generation avenues modify otherwise fixed host functions trajectory manipulating malleable regionally adapted, personalised intervention regimens targeted at prolonging

Gut microbial communities of American pikas (Ochotona princeps): Evidence for phylosymbiosis and adaptations to novel diets.

Gut microbial communities provide many physiological functions to their hosts, especially in herbivorous animals. We still lack an understanding of how these microbial communities are structured across hosts in nature, especially within a given host species. Studies on laboratory mice have demonstrated that host genetics can influence microbial community structure, but that diet can overwhelm t...

The dynamics of gut-associated microbial communities during inflammation.

Our intestine is host to a large microbial community (microbiota) that educates the immune system and confers niche protection. Profiling of the gut-associated microbial community reveals a dominance of obligate anaerobic bacteria in healthy individuals. However, intestinal inflammation is associated with a disturbance of the microbiota-known as dysbiosis-that often includes an increased preval...

Microbial shifts in the porcine distal gut in response to diets supplemented with Enterococcus Faecalis as alternatives to antibiotics

Gut microbiota plays an important role in host health and nutrient digestion of animals. Probiotics have become one of effective alternatives to antibiotics enhancing animal health and performance through modulating gut microbiota. Previously, our research demonstrated that dietary Enterococcus Faecalis UC-100 substituting antibiotics enhanced growth and health of weaned pigs. To investigate th...

Response of Broiler Chickens to Triticale-Based Diets Supplemented with Microbial Enzymes (2. Microbial Profiles and Activities)

The microbial profiles and activities of microbes in the digesta from chickens on diets containing Bogong or Canobolas with or without inclusion of microbial enzymes were investigated on the 384 day-old male Ross 308 broiler chickens. There was a reduction in population of C. perfringens (P < 0.01) of the ileum as a result of interaction between cultivar and xylanase. On the other hand, in the ...
